What Are the Benefits of Goji Berries?
•Goji berries are rich in antioxidants and nutrients. They are high in vitamin C and fibers. They are also a good source of iron and vitamin A. 1/4 cup serving of dried goji berries contains 90 calories.
•Some studies using goji berry juice found possible benefits that included a feeling of calmness and well being, weight loss, quality of sleep and better athletic performance. But those were preliminary studies. That’s why more studies are needed before drawing any conclusions.
•This super fruit also contains natural anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal compounds. It helps in boosting the immune system due to their powerful antioxidant properties and polysaccharides.
•It’s not known if goji berries are better than the other types of berries but all berries are good for you .It is also not known if goji berry supplements have the same health benefits as the actual berries.
Do Goji Berries Have Side Effects?
•Goji berries might interact with some drugs. If you take a blood thinner, blood pressure and diabetes drug you may want to avoid goji berries because of the interaction. So talk with your doctor first, otherwise, it’s safe to eat goji berries in moderation. As for goji berries supplements if you want to take them, let your doctor know.
